Bryan Dawe was born in Port Adelaide and developed a passion for sports, excelling in both football and cricket during his youth. In 1961, he proudly represented the South Australian schoolboys football team. At just 15, he left Woodville High to pursue a career in the music industry in Adelaide, where he worked until the age of 21. Seeking new opportunities, Dawe relocated to London before returning to Australia in 1972. He settled in Melbourne, where he spent four years as a Senior Executive for Lunch & Dinner, collaborating with Astor Records to promote the Australian wine industry and support local restaurants.

Following a brief retirement from the corporate world, Dawe indulged in his love for travel and songwriting over the next decade, contributing to ABC Radio as a writer. He later became the head of the Radio Comedy Unit, where he served for four years as the sole member. For 27 years, he has entertained audiences with his characters, Roly Parks and Sir Murray Rivers QC.

A significant partnership in Dawe's career was with John Clarke, with whom he worked for nearly three decades to encourage transparency from politicians, humorously urging them to "put their hands up on the table." While they've yet to achieve this goal, Dawe remains hopeful. An avid traveler and photographer, he continues to explore the world while capturing its beauty.
