Paula Zahn

Paula Ann Zahn, born on February 24, 1956, is a prominent American journalist, newscaster, and television host recognized for her extensive career in broadcast journalism. Over the years, she has served as an anchor for major networks including ABC News, CBS News, Fox News, and CNN. Zahn is also well-known for producing and hosting the true crime documentary series, *On the Case with Paula Zahn* on Investigation Discovery.

Zahn began her journalism career at ABC News in 1987, where she initially anchored *The Health Show*, before quickly moving on to co-anchor *World News This Morning* and contribute to *Good Morning America*. In 1990, she transitioned to CBS News, co-anchoring *CBS This Morning* alongside Harry Smith, and covering significant events such as the 1992 and 1994 Winter Olympics and the Waco siege. After leaving CBS in 1996, she took on roles including anchoring the Saturday edition of *CBS Evening News* and substituting for Dan Rather.

In 1999, Zahn joined Fox News Channel, where she launched *The Edge with Paula Zahn*. Her career took a pivotal turn on September 11, 2001, when she covered the terrorist attacks on CNN, eventually hosting *American Morning*. In 2003, she returned to prime time with *Paula Zahn Now*, which aired until her departure from CNN in 2007. Her current work, *On the Case with Paula Zahn*, premiered on October 18, 2009, solidifying her status as a leading figure in crime journalism.
