Brandon Wong embarked on his journey in the entertainment industry by participating in MediaCorp’s talent competition, Star Search, in 1995. His exceptional abilities propelled him to the finals, where he impressed the judges and secured a contract with MediaCorp shortly thereafter.

Known for his versatility, Brandon frequently portrays antagonistic characters but also showcases his comedic talent. His remarkable performance as a struggling stand-up comedian in the period drama "Wok of Life," set in the 1970s, particularly captured the audience's attention and earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the Star Awards. In 2007, he received another nomination for the same accolade for his work in "The Homecoming."

Brandon gained significant acclaim for his leading role as Chen Wei Bin, a taxi driver, in "Housewives' Holiday," opposite actress Hong Hui Fang. This well-received drama not only marked his first nomination for Best Actor at the Star Awards but also became the highest-rated drama of 2009. Additionally, he starred in his inaugural Channel 5 telemovie, "Big Time In Little Street." Despite a demanding filming schedule, Brandon managed to balance his time to rehearse for his debut musical, "The Peranakan Ball."
