Alyssa Michelle Stephens, born on December 22, 1998, and known professionally as Latto or Big Latto, is a prominent American rapper. She first gained national attention in 2016 when she appeared on the reality show *The Rap Game*, where she competed as Miss Mulatto and ultimately won the inaugural season, although she opted not to sign with the label associated with the show.

Latto began her ascent in the music industry with the release of "Bitch from da Souf" in 2019, which led to her signing with RCA Records. The track made its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 in August 2020, reaching a peak position of number 95, and was later remixed by well-known artists Saweetie and Trina. Her subsequent single, "Muwop," featuring Gucci Mane, solidified her rising star status, with both hits achieving platinum certification. These tracks were included in her debut album, *Queen of da Souf*, released in August 2020, with a deluxe version following in December.

Latto's major breakthrough came with "Big Energy," the lead single from her second album, *777* (2022), which soared to number three on the Billboard Hot 100, marking her highest-charting single to date. She has received numerous accolades, including nominations for Best New Hip Hop Artist at the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards and Top Rap Female Artist at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. In 2022, she won the BET Award for Best New Artist and was recognized as one of the XXL Freshman Class members in 2020, further establishing her impact on the music scene.
