Sanjay Gupta
Sanjay Gupta, born on October 23, 1969, is a prominent American neurosurgeon, journalist, and author. He holds the position of associate chief of the neurosurgery service at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta and is an associate professor at Emory University School of Medicine. Gupta's contributions to medicine and media have earned him memberships in prestigious organizations, including the National Academy of Medicine and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is also recognized as CNN's chief medical correspondent.
Gupta gained widespread recognition for his insightful coverage of health issues across various television programs. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he became a key voice on CNN, frequently appearing on numerous shows and co-hosting weekly town halls with Anderson Cooper. His acclaimed program, *Sanjay Gupta MD*, has garnered multiple Emmy Awards, showcasing his talent for communicating complex medical topics.
