George Christopher
George Christopher is a distinguished actor who has made a significant mark in both the Chinese and American entertainment industries. Residing in Los Angeles while also spending considerable time in China, he stands out as one of the few Caucasian actors fluent in Mandarin. With over 20 appearances in Chinese television and film, many of which feature him in leading roles, George has carved a unique niche for himself. Notably, his performance in Hunan TV's biographical drama "Red Star over China," centered on American journalist Edgar Snow, marked a milestone as the largest role ever assigned to a non-Asian actor on Chinese television. Remarkably, this was one of the rare instances where a Caucasian actor in a leading role delivered lines in Mandarin without being dubbed.
Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago to a Cuban-American mother and a West Point graduate father, George's journey into acting began after he graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006 with a degree in Religious Studies. Prior to launching his acting career, he explored India and China, immersing himself in diverse cultures. Since 2007, he has oscillated between the US and China, self-studying Mandarin. In 2009, he took his first steps into acting training in Chicago, gradually transitioning to a successful full-time career in prime-time Chinese productions starting in 2014.
