Élodie Yung, born on February 22, 1981, in Paris, France, is a talented actress celebrated for her dynamic performances in film and television. With a Cambodian father and a French mother, Yung's multicultural background enriched her artistic expression. She grew up in Seine-Saint-Denis, where she began practicing karate at the age of nine, ultimately earning a black belt by her late teens. Initially pursuing a career in law, she graduated from the University of Paris, aiming to become a judge. However, her passion for acting led her to the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art at the age of 29.

Yung's career commenced in 2002 with the French TV series *La vie devant nous*, followed by her film debut in *Les fils du vent* (2004). Her rise continued with a memorable role as the gang leader Tao in *District 13: Ultimatum*. She gained further acclaim for her portrayal of Elektra Natchios in the second season of Netflix's *Daredevil* (2016) and reprised the role in *The Defenders* (2017). Other notable projects include a turn as the ninja Jinx in *G.I. Joe: Retaliation* (2013) and the goddess Hathor in *Gods of Egypt* (2016).
