Robin B. Smith is a former wrestling manager and actor from South Africa, best recognized for his role in the acclaimed 2009 film *Invictus*. In the wrestling world, he garnered attention in 1997 when he served as the Commandant for the South African Truth Commission in the WWF, albeit for a brief period.

Born in South Africa, Smith's cinematic journey began in 1987 with his debut in *Scavengers*. He went on to feature in numerous South African films throughout the late 1980s up until the 2000s, establishing a solid presence in the local film industry.

Smith's venture into professional wrestling commenced in early 1997 when he met Bret Hart during a visit to South Africa. Hart's recommendation led him to the World Wrestling Federation, although he never stepped into the ring as a competitor. Instead, he debuted in the US Wrestling Association (USWA) under the moniker Commandant, managing a faction known as the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, which included wrestlers like "Interrogator," "Tank," and "Recon." This team achieved notable success, clinching the USWA Tag Team Championship three times. The Truth Commission made its WWF debut in June 1997, with Smith delivering fiery promos that earned him considerable animosity from fans. However, he was replaced by Don Callis later that year due to the WWF's desire for a more physically present manager.

In addition to wrestling, Smith's film credits include a role in the 2006 movie *The Fall*, set in 1920s Los Angeles, and his portrayal of Johan De Villers in *Invictus*, which depicted South Africa's quest for the 1995 Rugby World Cup. As of 2011, he continued to reside in South Africa, pursuing a freelance career.
