Marie Dompnier, born in 1980 in Toulouse, Haute-Garonne, is a distinguished French actress, singer, and director, celebrated for her portrayal of Lieutenant Sandra Winckler in the acclaimed television series *Witnesses* (*Les Témoins*).

Dompnier's acting journey began with formal training at the Ateliers du Sapajou in Paris from 2000 to 2002. She honed her craft further at the Centre Dramatique National in Poitiers in 2003, and continued her studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique until 2004. In 2004, she joined the L’École régionale d’acteurs de Cannes, graduating in 2007.

Early in her career, Dompnier focused on theater, performing in classical and contemporary pieces. She was affiliated with the Artéria company at Théâtre du Soleil until 2004 and later joined the collective "La Vie brief," where she played Robert Plankett in 2011. Her cinematic debut came in 2012 with Dante Desarthe's *Je fais feu de tout bois*, followed by roles in the TV series *Caïn* and *Détectives*.

Her breakout role in *Witnesses* in 2015, directed by Hervé Hadmar, garnered her the prestigious Golden FIPA for Best Female Performance at the Festival International des Programmes Audiovisuels in Biarritz. The series gained international recognition, with rights sold to Channel 4 and the BBC. Dompnier continued to shine in subsequent projects, including the miniseries *La Dernière Vague* in 2019 and the feature film *Les Choses humaines* in 2021, solidifying her status as a prominent figure in French cinema and television.
