Ben Steinbauer
Ben Steinbauer is an accomplished American documentary filmmaker who resides in Austin, Texas. Renowned for his engaging storytelling, Steinbauer's films have graced prestigious platforms such as South by Southwest and the Austin Film Festival, in addition to airing on PBS. His work has garnered numerous accolades, including the top award at the 2006 Cinematexas Film Festival, and his films have been showcased at the Directors Guild Theatre in Los Angeles.
One of his most notable achievements came with the 2009 documentary "Winnebago Man," which earned him the Princess Grace Award. The film delves into the viral fame of a series of outtakes featuring Jack Rebney, a Winnebago salesman known for his colorful tirades. Initially seen as an obscure inside joke, these clips skyrocketed to global popularity, earning Rebney the moniker "The Angriest Man in the World."
