Naz Osmanoglu
Şehzade Nazım Ziyaeddin Nazım Osmanoğlu, recognized in the entertainment world as Naz Osmanoglu, was born on September 24, 1985. He is an Anglo-Turkish comedian and a descendant of the Imperial House of Osman, the last ruling family of the Ottoman Empire.
Osmanoglu pursued a degree in English literature at Durham University, where he graduated in 2008. During his time at university, he became a key member of The Durham Revue, performing alongside fellow comedian Nish Kumar.
His comedic journey took off when he clinched the title at the 2009 "Amused Moose Laugh Off" and secured second place in the "So You Think You're Funny" competition the same year. He was also a part of the sketch group "WitTank," which gained recognition through the BBC Three series "Live at the Electric." Additionally, he made a guest appearance on "Russell Howard's Good News" and starred in the online comedy series "Flat TV" alongside his flatmate, Tom Rosenthal.
Osmanoglu has showcased his stand-up talents in shows like "1000% Awesome" and "Ottoman Without an Empire," performing at the Edinburgh Festival and various venues across the UK, Europe, and California. In 2015, he traveled to Turkey for the first time, visiting the Dolmabahçe Palace, the birthplace of his grandfather, Şehzade Cengiz Nazim. During this trip, he successfully hosted three stand-up shows that resonated well with Turkish audiences.
