Sandra Brown

Sandra Brown is a distinguished former detective with the Palo Alto Police Department, boasting an impressive 29-year career in law enforcement. Her journey began in 1984 as a Deputy with the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, before she transitioned to the Palo Alto Police Department in 1988. Over the years, she ascended through the ranks, achieving the title of Lieutenant in 2008.

Throughout her service, Brown held a variety of critical positions, including Field Training Officer, member of the Traffic Team, Detective, and Crime Scene Investigator. Additionally, she served as a School Resource Officer and a Public Information Officer, where she became a prominent figure in community policing initiatives, earning the affectionate moniker "Downtown Sandra Brown."
