Ji Moon
Ji Moon, born Moon Ji-won on July 17, 1995, in Seoul, South Korea, is a Korean-Mexican actress and dancer celebrated for her role as Hye-Jin in the 2023 Disney+ series "L-Pop." At just four months old, Ji Moon relocated to Mexico with her family, where her father was employed at a Samsung factory. Growing up, she embraced her Mexican identity, deeply immersing herself in local customs and culture.
During her high school years, Ji Moon faced challenges regarding her mixed heritage, grappling with feelings of alienation and experiencing racial discrimination that led her to question her Korean roots. Seeking a fresh start, she moved to the United States to attend high school in Boston, where she began to explore her identity and cultural background. After two years in the U.S., she returned to Mexico for her remaining high school years and later pursued higher education at Yonsei University in Seoul.
In 2022, while studying in South Korea, Ji Moon received a casting invitation from BTF Media for a new television series. After a successful initial audition via Zoom and a subsequent audition in Mexico City, she landed the part of Hye-Jin. In August 2023, she proudly announced her involvement in "L-Pop" on her social media, marking a significant milestone in her burgeoning acting career.
