Michael Ornstein is an accomplished actor whose artistic journey began in his youth at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. He further honed his craft under the renowned Stella Adler before briefly attending the Mason Gross School of the Arts, from which he departed after his first year to pursue a professional acting career in New York.

Ornstein made his film debut in the 1988 romantic comedy Crossing Delancey, portraying the character "Mickey." His television career includes a significant role as Detective Bonnaventura on the acclaimed series Homicide: Life on the Street, as well as memorable appearances in popular shows such as Seinfeld, Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. He also had a notable two-episode arc on Third Watch.

With over twenty-five years of stage experience, Ornstein has participated in numerous new plays in New York City. A highlight of his theatrical career was creating the character of Louis Ironson in the world premiere of Tony Kushner's groundbreaking play Angels in America at the Eureka Theater in San Francisco in 1991.

In the realm of television drama, Ornstein is well-known for his role as Chuck Marstein in the hit series Sons of Anarchy, showcasing his versatility and talent across various mediums in the entertainment industry.
