Sylvain Sylvain
Sylvain Sylvain Mizrahi (February 14, 1951 – January 13, 2021) was a prominent American rock guitarist celebrated for his influential contributions to the music scene, particularly as a member of the iconic band New York Dolls and later with Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.
Born in Cairo, Egypt, and raised in New York City, Sylvain was a pivotal figure in the glam rock movement of the 1970s. He co-founded the New York Dolls, a band known for its flamboyant style and raw sound, which helped shape the punk rock genre. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1973, is regarded as a classic and has inspired countless musicians over the decades.
