In 1890, Marie defies the customs of Lauscha, a tiny German town, to become its first woman glassblower. Her delicate glass ornaments, crafted as tree decorations, catch the eye of an American buyer. Soon, her shimmering creations cross the Atlantic, opening an unexpected market and challenging the old ways of her community.
