Bird of Paradise

A young sailor named Johnny finds himself in peril after falling overboard, only to be rescued by Luana, the stunning daughter of a Polynesian king. Their passionate romance flourishes, even though Luana is betrothed to another. They share a fleeting period of blissful love, but the looming threat of an erupting volcano forces Luana to confront a heartbreaking choice. To save her island and its people, she understands that her own life may need to be sacrificed to appease the volcanic gods.
