Set in ancient India, the story unfolds 5,000 years after humans began taming elephants for various purposes. Young Makbul is immersed in a world where both wild and domesticated elephants coexist near his village. Defying his mother's wishes, he pursues the family legacy of becoming a mahout, an elephant handler.
