In "Weekend at Bernie's," two young insurance workers, Larry and Richard, find themselves in a bizarre predicament when they discover their boss, Bernie, has been murdered. To avoid being implicated in his death, they concoct a plan to make it seem as though Bernie is still alive by manipulating his lifeless body. Their ruse spirals out of control as a hitman, sent to eliminate Bernie, begins to pursue them, leading to a series of comedic and chaotic situations as the duo struggles to keep the charade alive while evading danger.
