When a student decides to leave school, Lena finally gets to have her own room, much to Whitley's delight. Whitley attempts to offload all the dorm responsibilities onto resident assistant Kim, who soon finds out that Lena has been cooking in her space. Before Kim can intervene, she’s pulled away to break up a fight. Meanwhile, Lena starts selling her gumbo to fellow students, but accidentally sets off a fire in her room. The dean threatens to suspend her, but Whitley and Kim rally to support her. As a consequence, Lena is required to work at the Pit to cover the damages. Meanwhile, Terrence returns to live with Jaleesa and Col. Taylor.
