S01E07 Texan Family Returns to Roots

Chip and Joanna Gaines join John and Margie Bowman in exploring three homes in the McGregor area, just outside Waco. Eager to reconnect with their Texas heritage after relocating from Oklahoma, the Bowmans are in search of a house that embodies Texas charm without being overly rustic for John, while still feeling casual enough for Margie. After spending months in a motel, this family of five, along with their two dogs, is ready to transition from living out of suitcases to settling into a real home. However, unexpected repairs on one fixer-upper lead to delays in construction for Chip and Jo and a surprising ten percent increase in the Bowmans' budget.
