S05E20 Working Women
Self-important businessman Jack Brompton enlists the women to prepare "an authentic early American dinner for 24" at his Hamptons home, but he keeps altering the theme and menu, shifting from the American Civil War to Victorian England. Meanwhile, Jenny is working on a video project about working women for her women's studies class, which sparks imaginative sequences featuring Kate and Allie as immigrant workers in a sweatshop and as factory laborers during WWII. Motivated to advocate for themselves, they confront Brompton about his poor treatment and uncover that he’s really a submissive husband, catering to his demanding wife’s wishes.
