Dinosaur Train

S03E25 Zeppelin: Pangaea

2015-06-15

The Pteranodon kids embark on a map-making adventure, and Don creates a map depicting a single massive landmass representing “the whole Mesozoic.” This sparks a debate about whether the Mesozoic was one large, connected area or a collection of smaller, linked landmasses. The Conductor from the Dinosaur Train shares that millions of years ago, there was indeed a single landmass known as “Pangaea.” Over time, it gradually split into separate continents. Excited, the Conductor invites the Pteranodons on a Zeppelin journey through a Sky Time Tunnel to witness Pangaea firsthand. Together with Tricia Troodon, who helps pilot the Zeppelin, they soar back to see Pangaea as it begins to fracture, eventually watching the continents drift apart as oceans form. The kids are in awe, agreeing that witnessing the breaking apart of Pangaea is one of their most thrilling experiences ever!
