As winter approaches, the people of Alaska brace for the harsh season ahead. In Noorvik, the Hailstone family sets out on a caribou hunt to stock up on meat for the cold months. Meanwhile, at Sue’s camp in Kavik, a bear becomes a danger to her clients. In Eagle, Andy works on fixing the fish wheel to safeguard the food supply for his dogs. Over in Chandalar, Glenn faces the challenge of transporting a downed moose across land and water to bring it back to the safety of his camp.
