In Jacksonville, Florida, four troubled teenagers participate in a three-part "scared straight" program. At 15, KeShawn stands tall and unafraid, yet everything changes when he sees his small younger brother, Kevon, facing the frightening repercussions of trying to follow in his footsteps. This moment breaks KeShawn and forces him to confront the potential future for both of them. Meanwhile, Johnny, a white teen who openly identifies as a racist, finds himself facing the intense anger of the black inmates around him.
