In the initial installment of a two-part tale, the gritty detective duo goes undercover as truck drivers on a mission to securely escort Joe Durniak, a man with ties to organized crime. Starsky has a personal history with Joe from his youth. In exchange for providing crucial testimony as a state witness, Joe is guaranteed protection and a new identity. The stakes are high as they navigate the challenges of their covert operation while keeping Joe safe from the looming threats of his past connections.
