If Crazy Eddie's theory holds up, Nostradamus' ivory tower is the National Institute of Applied Mathematics in Boston, Massachusetts. A young prodigy named Ted Eichmann suddenly died, his blood bubbling as if he were a shaken soda can. Campus gossip suggested he was involved in a government initiative. They needed a new genius, and somehow, I found myself in college. Mom would have been thrilled. With Crazy Eddie's help, I donned a mic and earpiece to blend in with the real intellects. I played the part well, but I was skeptical about the "communications satellite system" we were supposedly developing. The secrecy surrounding it hinted at something far more perilous than anyone admitted.
