In the opening heat, the four contestants face the task of creating bangers and mash accompanied by beer and onion gravy, all within a tight 20-minute timeframe. This seemingly straightforward dish proves to be quite complex. Judges Monica Galetti, Gregg Wallace, and Marcus Wareing will evaluate their efforts and select the top two dishes. Those two competitors will then face a second challenge: preparing monkfish paired with a pea and bacon ragout.
