The Decepticons launch an attack on the Ark, successfully deceiving the Autobots with a clever diversion, which leads to Sparkplug being taken captive. They employ a device known as a hypno-chip, developed by a human named Dr. Arkeville, to manipulate Sparkplug's actions. This is part of their sinister scheme to assemble a workforce capable of constructing a new space bridge, allowing them to transport Cybertron to Earth.
