S04E08 Redeeming Jimmy

Jimmy returns to town for good and, at Grace's suggestion, starts a job at the refinery. Unfortunately, his first day goes horribly, leading Nadine and Wade to caution Grace against risking her position for someone who once mistreated her. Grace defends Jimmy, believing he has changed and deserves a second chance. Meanwhile, Quentin seeks Jimmy's dating advice, and Jimmy suggests he practice with a friend before approaching his crush. Grace visits Jimmy at his motel, where she finds Jean and her son. As Jimmy struggles with feelings of inadequacy and fears of job loss—stemming from Grace's coworkers' sabotage—Jean accuses Grace of lying about Jimmy's past. However, Jimmy confronts Jean with the truth. Grace is furious upon learning about Jimmy's counsel to Quentin.
