The rookies find themselves teamed up with new training officers for a spell, with Nolan being paired with Lopez. Together, they hunt down an escaped convict and learn that a bit of compassion can make a significant difference. Meanwhile, Jackson must confront his anxieties while working alongside Officer Bradford. Chen and Nolan are also confronted with a tough reality they must address.
