A teenage boy begins to suffer from severe stomach aches and starts vomiting blood and fecal matter after accidentally ingesting a bristle from a grill brush, which becomes stuck in his intestines. In a separate incident from 2011, a 16-year-old girl who swam in a Florida river develops a headache, fever, and vomiting, leading to mental confusion and erratic behavior before ultimately succumbing to amoebic meningitis. Meanwhile, an industrial painter struggles with breathing and mobility due to an infection caused by Blastomyces dermatitidis.
