S04E14 Volcanoes
Volcanoes are towering formations created from lava. The planet's outer layer, known as the crust, is segmented into large sections referred to as plates, which are constantly shifting. These plates drift atop the Earth's mantle, a semi-fluid layer of extremely hot rock that moves like thick syrup. In certain areas of the mantle, the rock becomes intensely heated and almost liquefies, resulting in magma. Occasionally, this magma breaks through to the surface, leading to the emergence of a volcano.
