During a routine response to a disturbance, Dash and Jack stumble upon a shocking double fatality involving two well-liked local youths. Dash's initial shock quickly shifts to rage when she learns that the crash was triggered by a boy infatuated with one of the victims. With Dash's anger and the grief-stricken brother of one victim seeking retribution, the boy may find himself facing more than just his injuries. Jack, however, sees a different perspective on the young man, identifying with him as a fellow country boy who seems genuinely remorseful. To cope with the senseless loss, Jack feels compelled to uncover the truth behind the incident—was it truly a case of twisted revenge, or was the car to blame? Meanwhile, the grieving families are less interested in answers and more focused on vengeance. With the council elections looming, Chris's campaign manager seizes the tragedy to highlight youth issues and the need for better recreational facilities, arguing that if kids had more positive outlets, such incidents might be prevented
