Meanwhile, Makishima tracks down the professor behind the hyper-oats and kills him after extracting the information he needs, taking the man's fingers and eyeballs to bypass biometric security. Shortly after, Kogami arrives and leaves a vital clue for the MWSPB inside the man's airpipe. In a strategic move, Akane strikes a deal with Sibyl: she promises to capture Makishima alive if they rescind the execution order for Kogami. Thanks to her investigative skills, they quickly decipher Kogami's clue and uncover Makishima's plans.
