Fools' Parade

After serving 40 years behind bars, Mattie Appleyard and his two former inmate friends aspire to start anew by opening a general store with Mattie’s hard-earned savings. However, their dream faces significant hurdles as they encounter opposition from a corrupt prison official and the skeptical banker who holds Mattie’s check.
