Whitley excitedly reveals to her friends that she believes Dwayne is the one for her. Throughout the summer, she received his love letters but chose to keep her responses to herself, wanting him to yearn for her. However, when she visits Dwayne's apartment to express her feelings, she learns he has started dating Kinu, a stunning Japanese American student from nearby Avery College. Alongside her heartache, Whitley faces the challenge of being homeless after losing her apartment due to an unpaid security deposit. Jaleesa reluctantly offers her a temporary place to stay. Whitley promises herself she won’t let this opportunity slip if she gets another shot with Dwayne. Meanwhile, Colonel Taylor's son, Terrence, arrives at Hillman, quickly earning the nickname "Pee Wee Hormone" due to his overenthusiastic approach to women.
