The pressure of leadership weighs heavily on Rodimus, and when he tries to unwind, he finds himself in a brawl, ultimately losing the Matrix. The Stunticons manage to flee with it, causing Rodimus to revert to his former self, Hot Rod. Initially, Hot Rod relishes the break from responsibility, but he quickly realizes the importance of reclaiming the Matrix. However, this task proves challenging as Scourge has already harnessed the Matrix's power for himself.
